Lisa and Jason's wedding was truly beautiful in every way.  And I am just so thrilled that these amazing images by Niki Marie Photo speak for themselves - I'm struggling to explain the love, the loveliness, the joy.. but it's captured... like a thousand words.  Thank you Niki - these are amazing!

The first time that Lisa and I talked about her bouquet I wrote down "SHOWSTOPPER!"  - and I was so excited that Lisa gave me the green light to go for something spectactular!

I also feel a little sad posting this because I miss emailing and chatting with Lisa - she is one of those people with a genuine warmth that comes through from the very first minute.  I just felt so lucky to be able to work with her and get to know her, and I was looking forward to this wedding for months and months.  And everything about Lisa and Jason's day at Weller's carriage house in Saline was warm and joyful and truly beautiful.  Seriously beautiful.  Like the shoes Lisa designed herself!  I loved working in lots of little accents of champagne gold and navy along with the mauve and blush tones - so much sophisticated, gardeny pretty!

Thank you Lisa and Jason - I felt truly lucky to be a part of your celebration.  Big love to you guys!  YOU were the SHOWSTOPPERS that day - so much joy and love coming through this celebration!

A little about the flowers here... we used a mix of blush, champagne, mauve, ivory blooms and lots of lush foliages and clusters of champagne gold berries.  For the ceremony space, we hung champagne gold terracotta pots from macrame hangars filled with a lush mix of blooms.  We loved how the mix of heights helped to frame the ceremony space and make it more intimate for Lisa and Jason.  

Autumn dahlia love at this gorgeous wedding at Frutig Farms Misty Farm.  Misty always feels like such an oasis, yet so close to Ann Arbor!  Bride Rachel is a dahlia lover, and I was looking forward to this wedding all year, bringing in over 400 dahlias from amazing local growers.  Especially loved decorating the arch at Misty for Rachel's ceremony - full of blush, peach, burgundy dahlias and snapdragons.  It was a beautiful celebration with lots of special details, and we were so honored to create these pieces!  Thank you so much to Nicole Haley who captured this wedding so beautifully!

A perfect autumn day for a campus wedding at the Michigan League for Miriam and Daniel!  It was a true joy to be a part of this celebration with so many personal and fun details at the Michigan League Ballroom and such a joyful group!  Loved setting up the chuappah flowers for their ceremony in the courtyard garden and the mix of merlot and champagne tones with lots of texture in the flowers. It was such a genuine joy to be a part of Lauren & Jeff's summer wedding at the always stunning Zingerman's Cornman Farms.  Their celebration was full of joy and warmth and family.  The details were gorgeous, and Silver Thumb captured so many beautiful moments, I had such a hard time picking favorite photos!  Also such a pleasure working with Twofoot Creative who always make things run smoothly and beautifully behind the scenes. Lauren & Jeff's flowers included caramel antike garden roses, romantic antike garden roses, white peonies, white majolica spray roses, blue viburnum berries, white astilbe, mint geranium, silver dollar eucalyptus and a mix of other foliages.  Congratulations Lauren & Jeff!

It is such a privilege to create flowers for the UM President's House.  Living in Ann Arbor, my husband and I always explain to friends and family how this place seems so special because it has the ease of a small town but a disproportionate amount of neat things going on - art, culture, sport - amazing people from around the world thinking and doing amazing things - it's really quite special.  And I love getting to feel like I'm a part of those special things going on in Ann Arbor when I get to bring flowers for events at the President's House.  Here are just a few recent favorites!  

This bouquet of parrot tulips and orchids was for the dinner guest of honor.

This dinner centerpiece featured burgundy, gold, yellow and deep purple.

Some sweet baby shower flowers this past weekend to welcome a very special baby boy this summer!  Can't wait to meet Baby G!

It's so wonderful to receive these images from a gorgeous wedding at Cottonwood Barn in Dexter.  It was such a pleasure working with this bride and her vision for a lovely but not too traditional mix of autumnal colors and textures in her wedding flowers.  We used a mix of burgundy cymbidium orchids, orange pincushion protea, mango and plum calla lilies, yellow chrysanthemums, and a mix of textured foliages to create a seasonal look with texture and warmth.  Photo credit to Emily Alt, Watassa Wedding Photography for these lovely images!
