Shinola Hotel | Detroit Wedding Flowers

Natalie and Mike’s rooftop wedding at the Shinola Hotel in downtown Detroit was spectacular and sophisticated. It was such a joy working with Natalie on the vision that was so artful and striking and complimented the beautiful setting so nicely. The pops of locally grown red amemone along with toffee roses, red butterfly ranunculus, campanula, ferns and textured foliages came together so beautifully. Thank you, Natalie and Michael - it was a joy to be part of your gorgeous celebration! Thank you to Jack Hoyle for these beautiful images.

Cornman Farms Fall Wedding | Ann Arbor Wedding Florist

E & O had a gorgeous wedding at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms. I love these intimate weddings filled with special touches and details, and one of the wonderful things about this space is that we can often repurpose feature florals for the ceremony and reception when they are in the same room. After the ceremony, guests go downstairs to enjoy cocktail hour and games on the patio, while upstairs, we “flip” the room from ceremony to reception. The tables and chairs are moved into reception position and expertly set, while we can add and/or move decor for the reception. For E & O, the meadow flowers were the focal decor for the ceremony, and then “flipped” to in front of the sweetheart table to be the focal decor for the reception. It’s so great to be able to invest in a focal piece of decor and use it beautifully for both the ceremony and reception! These textured grasses and dusty mauve and blue worked so beautifully to just bring a little color inside the barn. Thank you to Adore Wedding Photography for these beautiful images.

Fall Cornman Farm Wedding | Ann Arbor Wedding Flowers

Connie and David’s wedding was that time in the fall when the dahlias just sing and the vibrant colors against the changing leaves in Michigan are so perfect. Locally grown dahlias, textures, and foliages, and pops of my favorite blue viburnum berries. It was a bold, beautiful collection of fall flowers for a beautiful celebration at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms. Captured so beautifully by Lola Grace Photography.

Zingermans Cornman Farms Wedding Flowers | Ann Arbor wedding florist

Cornman Farms hosts the most beautiful intimate weddings. It always feels so special to have the whole beautiful grounds to yourself and your friends and family. It is such an amazing and beautiful place, and it shows off whatever the season in Michigan so beautifully. For Lauren and Johnnie, the flowers were a textural palette of lush greens and white blooms. The orchids added throughout were a nod to Lauren’s grandmother - they were her favorite. Thank you to Lola Grace Photography for these beautiful images.

Winter weddings at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms are something special. I love the coziness every time - and Adore Wedding Photography captured just that feeling for Erika and Garrett’s wedding. I love all the texture, and the pepperberries and heirloom chrysanthemums that made this bouquet special.

Autumn Downtown Ann Arbor Wedding | Red Poppy Wedding Flowers

Downtown Ann Arbor is just gorgeous in the fall - it’s such a lovely time for a wedding when all your friends and family can walk downtown for drinks and brunch and enjoy all the new art and murals downtown - so special! It was such a joy to get to create these flowers for Miranda and Harry’s wedding downtown - with a ceremony at the Ann Arbor Art Center and reception at Zingerman’s Greyline. The Greyline is a freshly renovated old downtown bus station, with the classic bus station signage still out front and a sophisticated, retro vibe inside. I loved designing these chuppah flowers against the brick walls at the Ann Arbor Art Center - a perfect warm terracotta tone for an autumn day. Thank you to Abby Rose Photo for these beautiful images!

Summer wedding at Misty Farm | Ann Arbor Wedding Flowers

It was a perfect summer celebration for Michael and Andrew at Frutig Farms Misty Farm. The floral decor was natural, lush, classic, with purples, golden yellows, blues, creams, and lots of lush foliages. I just love decorating the wedding ceremony arch here - it feels like a perfect blank canvas with trees framing it and giving it all a perfect natural feel. Adding blooms here gives it that splash of color and brightness to feel celebratory. Looking back at these images, I just love how the olive and eucalyptus give some movement to the arch decor - it’s so great to have the perfect textural foliages at the right time int he season! The greens added inside the tent brought a little more natural feel. Congratulations Andrew & Michael - it was a joy being a part of your celebration!

Ombre wedding shower | Ann Arbor wedding flowers

Yes, yes! To requests for all the color! These ombre wedding shower flowers were a dream! Bold, colorful clouds of all the colors of the rainbow. These past few months have had more requests for lots of color than ever before, and I wonder if it’s this extra joy at gathering and celebrating after pandemic and fewer gatherings - getting back out there!

Birmingham Country Club Wedding | Red Poppy Floral Design

This color palette was designed to compliment the bride’s absolutely gorgeous, dress with stunning and intricate detail and embroidery. The dress included embroidered ranunculus, and so we wanted to feature beautiful ranunculus and a collection of soft textures to add a soft suite of complimentary colors that were also subtle. It was a delicate mix of wanting to have plenty of interest and texture in the flowers, but not too much. We added a bit more color to the mix for the reception space, to add a bit more color and interest. Thank you for these beautiful images, Nicole Haley Photography!
