This was the time last year when the white lilac was in perfect bloom at just the right time. It was magnificent. Though we can often order lots of different flowers and materials, nature still has some special things that you can only really get locally and for a limited amount of time. So when you get one of those special things at the right time, it can feel that bit extra special - a little bit of magic.
And I couldn’t have been more happy for all of these beautiful things for Shannon and Michael. Everything about this day was joyful. Their friends and family were so fantastic and fun - I remember all during set up this group was just having a wonderful time - it felt like a celebration already and it was a joy to be a part of it.
Together with the lilac, these pieces featured anemone, garden roses, hellebore, orchids, ranunculus, astrantia - so many beautiful things! We had the most amazing chuppah by modernly events and I just loved the chuppah decor here. So many lovely accents in classic navy and art deco design details (those bridesmaid dresses!) and the cake! There is joy in every gorgeous picture by Matt & Ashley - there is not a one in the bunch where these two aren’t enjoying every minute. Beautiful, classic, joyful family celebration - it was such an honor to be a part of this very special day.
